Romain Achi
Senior Director - Head of Middle East
Romain Achi is Senior Director and Head of Middle East at Global Apartment Advisors, where he leads the firm’s regional expansion and advises owners, developers, and investors on rental living strategy, portfolio optimisation, and value creation across the Middle East.
He brings deep buy-side expertise across equity, private debt, and structured real estate, with experience spanning core through to opportunistic strategies and the full capital stack. His background includes institutional real estate equity, private debt, and special situations investing across multiple geographies.
Romain holds a Master’s in Real Estate Investment from Bayes Business School and a double major in Finance, Investment and Banking, as well as Real Estate Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has held senior roles at Oaktree Capital Management, AXA IM (now BNP Paribas), Laxfield Capital (now CBRE IM), and a Middle Eastern family office, where he worked across underwriting, portfolio valuation, and full-cycle asset management.
He has extensive experience in residential and rental housing, including multifamily acquisitions and asset management, single-family housing, and master-planned developments. Fluent in French and Arabic, and having worked across the USA, Europe, and the GCC, Romain brings a truly international perspective to GAA’s Middle East platform.
