Senior Advisor

James Pargeter is a Senior Advisor at GAA, bringing over 25 years’ experience in residential development and a long-standing focus on BTR and housing policy. Widely respected across the sector, he is a recognised advocate for the rental living sector, affordable housing, and urban development.

James began his career as a structural engineer before moving into project management and development. He was previously a Senior Director at Greystar, where he helped deliver landmark projects such as Greenford Quay – one of the UK’s largest BTR-led mixed-use schemes – and led engagement with government and key stakeholders. Earlier, he spent over a decade as a Partner at Deloitte Real Estate, leading its Residential Projects team.

A founding Project Board Member of the BTR Taskforce (2025), James also serves on the British Property Federation, Association for Rental Living, and Radix Big Tent Housing Commission Leaders Group. He plays an active role in shaping policy and advocacy, bridging the gap between developers, policymakers, and communities, and helping drive the growth of the UK’s institutional rental housing sector.
